The project aims to promote access to education for students in conditions of economic hardship through the construction and furnishing of a residence in Balai Berkuak, Indonesia.
The new structure will offer underprivileged students a safe and adequate place to live during their school years, reducing difficulties related to distance, poverty and the lack of accommodation services.
The intervention arises from the collaboration between the Brothers of the Holy Family Institute and Movimento Sviluppo e Pace, with the contribution of the 8×1000 to the Catholic Church.

In Balai Berkuak, Indonesia, construction work is underway for the building and furnishing of a residence for underprivileged students.
The project addresses the need to guarantee more stable and dignified living conditions for young people who, due to distance from school or their families' economic difficulties, risk having their educational path limited.
The completion of the structure will provide students with a safe, welcoming environment suited to study, helping to strengthen educational opportunities in the territory.
The project was presented by the Brothers of the Holy Family Institute and Movimento Sviluppo e Pace and was approved with the number 435/2024.
The work is carried out with the contribution of the 8×1000 to the Catholic Church. The construction site was inaugurated in mid-February 2025 and work is in progress.
During the project, the first installment accounting report was approved; subsequently the CEI authorized the disbursement of the second installment for the intervention.
